Faculty Positions in Information and Computing Technology

To date, six individuals have been hired under the auspices of the Information and Computing Technology Strategic Initiative. These new faculty members represent the School of Engineering, School of Management, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Recent searches have focused on the School of Architecture; however, positions in all ICT-related departments and schools at both the junior and senior level will become available, as we expect to hire as many as 15 new faculty members over the course of the next three years.

Hiring in Information and Computing Technology will encompass, at a minimum, the following schools and departments:

School of Engineering and Applied Sciences:

  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Industrial and Systems Engineering
  • Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
  • Chemical and Biological Engineering

College of Arts and Sciences:

  • Geography
  • Geology
  • Creative Arts
  • Mathematics

Management School:

  • Management Information Sciences

School of Architecture and Planning

Opportunities for concurrent appointments are also available for some departments and faculty members. Current faculty hold appointments at a variety of centers and hospitals, including (but not limited to): the New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, the Center for Computational Research, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Information about concurrent appointment opportunities will be provided for each opening.
